Mr Shane Kennedy:  "One of the great things about teaching at Manukau Christian School is that I am working with teachers and staff who love the Lord and want to serve and glorify Him to the best of their abilities. Another wonderful blessing is that God’s word is opened in every classroom at the beginning of the day. We read, teach and meditate on God’s word and pray for His grace, guidance and wisdom to prevail over all that is done and said at Manukau Christian School."

Executive Officer: Mrs Geraldine Oosterbeek

Geraldine Oosterbeek: "I really enjoy coming to work:  the staff are caring and supportive and truly committed to the children and living their faith. It’s great to get to know the parents; to interact with the children and see them develop into mature Christians. It’s a joy and privilege to work at Manukau Christian School."

  Teachers

Year 1: Mrs Ackermann

Mrs Ackermann:  "What I enjoy most
about Manukau Christian School is
praying with the children in class and
solving problems using Biblical
principles. I like partnering with parents
for the child’s benefit."

Year 2: Miss Luck

Miss Luck:  "I love the sense of
community and family. Also, to be able
to teach and solve problems with the
children in a Biblical way is great. I love
to help them reach their God-given
potential."

Year 3: Mrs Logan

Mrs Logan:  "As a new staff member I
have really enjoyed the family
atmosphere at MCS. It is wonderful to
see the children across the age groups
playing with each other. It is also so
uplifting to be able to teach Christian
values and life skills."

Year 4:  Mrs Peek

Mrs Peek: "The things that make  teaching at
Manukau Christian School so
enjoyable for me are the caring,
friendly staff and the family-like
environment."

Year 5/6:  Mr Scott Kennedy

Mr Scott Kennedy: "One of the best
 things about teaching at Manukau
Christian School is the ability to allow
our Christian worldview to impact all of
our teaching.  It is a great privilege to
bring children the challenge of the
gospel every day in the context of school life."

Year 7/8:  Mrs Smith

Mrs Smith:  "Working at Manukau
Christian School is both a great blessing
and a challenge. I enjoy the challenge
of applying my teaching skills in a
Christian way to all the subjects,
helping my pupils with their individual
talents that the Lord has given them
and encouraging them to follow and
serve the Lord Jesus Christ. It is also a
real privilege to be surrounded by
praying staff and parents who support
me in this God-given task."

ESOL:  Mrs Coulthard

Mrs Coulthard:  "I enjoy teaching at
Manukau Christian School as I find each
member of staff shares a caring,
concerned attitude toward the children
in the school, their families and each
other."
