Principal's Welcome

Welcome to Manukau Christian School.

In Psalm 115:1 we read these words:   "Not to us O Lord but to your name be the glory because of your love and faithfulness."

We, here at Manukau Christian School unashamedly acknowledge with praise and thankfulness that all the achievements and success we have enjoyed over the years, come from the hand of our God and Saviour. Ours is the privilege of being part of His work.

Manukau Christian School is about nurturing and teaching children so that they become mature, vital Christians equipped and able to live responsible effective lives as servants of God in today's society.

The first purpose and primary motivation of our school is to glorify God.  Our main goal is to teach children to glorify, serve and enjoy their Creator.  We also recognise  that as a Christian school we have a vital role to play as co-workers with parents, to assist them in their biblical responsibility for the upbringing of their children.

Teachers at Manukau Christian School are Christian men and women who recognise their call to minister the Christian faith.  We view the teaching task not as just a job but rather as a calling and a ministry.

Our school seeks to faithfully lay the foundational skills of learning, such as literacy, numeracy and thinking skills in the primary years.  We always strive to achieve academic excellence yet at the same time seek to recognise the differing gifts and abilities of the individual pupil.

We are positive about the future of our children as we strive, within a biblical framework, to instil knowledge, skills and moral integrity that will actively prepare them for influential service for Christ.

The culminating goal of Manukau Christian School is to see our children grow both academically and spiritually to become mature vital Christians. We want them to be young men and women who know the truth, who are not ashamed of the gospel and who go out into the 'market place' of this culture and society living lives that testify to the reality of Christ.
