Excellent teachers with an ambition to teach to high academic standards and who possess a genuine biblical worldview are encouraged to make contact with us.

Upper Primary Position, Term 1, 2021. Permanent Position

You trained to teach because you had a vision for what a learning environment could be. Fascinated, captivated students, motivated to discover God’s world and God’s ways. You envisioned yourself in the role of the teacher and you were excited at the prospect.

Has your dream been realised? Or has the wearisome administrivia and the relentless flood of ineffective pedagogical ideology dampened your enthusiasm? Education at Manukau Christian School is living the dream; the dream to impart, to equip, to make disciples and to feed minds. Fulfil your educational aspirations at our multicultural, independent, academic, Christ-centred school.

You value Scripture as the anchor for a humanity adrift. You are motivated to connect students to that anchor and nurture them. Teaching is your calling. You show you care by inspiring students to learn and by not compromising your expectations, but also by walking alongside them in their struggles and celebrating their successes. You recognise a teachable moment and you understand that success is generally the fruitful end of failure.

Dare to dream again. Download the application pack here.

Applications close 26 November 2020

Internships

Are you thinking of training to become a teacher?  Maybe you already have a university degree and are planning to undertake further study such as a graduate teaching diploma qualification.

MCS offers a limited number of teaching internships throughout the school year for periods of two to five weeks or other mutually suitable days and times.  These internships are a great opportunity for 'would be' Christian teachers to work alongside some of our highly professional and competent classroom teachers.  You would be involved in all aspects of day to day classroom activities and through these experiences gain valuable insights into a Christian teacher's work and personal calling from God.

We welcome your enquiry and expressions of interest.  Please contact our Executive Officer, Geraldine Oosterbeek on 269-1050 for further information on how to apply for an internship.
